Top 5 Ways to Stay Faded in October

Welcome to our “Top Ways to Stay Faded” post. Here at Faded Days we are dedicated to providing quality sunglasses at an unbeatable price, and if you have a pair, why not flaunt them? Below are the upcoming festivities that have peaked our interest for the coming month, in all of which a pair of Faded Days would go down as a treat. Feel free to leave us any feedback.

It's October's checklist: Halloween, football, pumpkin beer, zombies and unicorns? Let’s get started!

1. Tailgating

Football Season is in full swing, which also means Tailgate Season is here too. Whether you are a die-hard fan of the sport, or if you just like day drinking in some gorgeous fall weather like us, there is a place for you in the tailgating scene.
Your team getting smashed? Expect to find these games on offer: corn hole, ladder ball, beer pong, polish horseshoes, find the Unicorn, and new ones come out every year.
Our FD Classics and Beach Coolers are a must here.

The Florida/Georgia Game

Jacksonville, FL 10/30 With a name like “The World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party“, there’s a possibility that you might get a little Faded.

Texas A&M vs. Alabama

College Station, TX 10/17
You know Texas loves their football and with one of the biggest games in October coming to the Lone Star state; it is sure to be one of the biggest parties of the season.

2. Music Festivals

What better place to get Faded with your friends than at a venue with amazing music and high octane energy? Our Beach Coolers and Bold Spectacle collection would kill it here! Music festivals are year round, but here are a couple that we are marking on our calendars:

Suwannee Hulaween - http://suwanneehulaween.com/

Live Oak, FL 10/30 – 11/1
Celebrate Halloween with thousands of people in costumes! Headliners include: Pretty Lights, Slightly Stoopid, Primus, STS9 and many more.

Voodoo Fest - http://worshipthemusic.com/

New Orleans, LA 10/30 - 11/1
The Big Easy is known for its Mardi Gras Festivals, but you don’t want to miss another one of their long lasting traditions with Voodoo Fest. Headliners include: Ozzy Osbourne, JackÜ, Deadmau5, Zac Brown Band, Florence and the Machine and many more.

3. Obstacle Course Races

While some train for the most extreme of challenges, and others just get a group together to conquer a course as a team; obstacle course races can be a great way to get outdoors and rock your shades. We recommend our Polarized collection for the ultimate in sports performance vision… or Beach Coolers if you are just going for the beer! Here are a few races we are excited about:

Gladiator Rock n Run - http://www.gladiatorrocknrun.com/

Pasadena, CA - 10/17
Run, jump, slide and crawl through 5 kilometers of obstacle-laden terrain designed for everyone from beginners to hardcore seasoned athletes.

Bone Frog Challenge - http://www.bonefrogchallenge.com/

Englishtown, NJ 10/24
Built and designed by U.S Navy Seals. Come prepared!

4. Oktoberfest

What would October be without Oktoberfest? The Mecca is held annually in Munich and Bavaria, Germany, with more than 6 million people from around the world attending the event every year. We recommend our Polarized, FD Classic, Composed and BeachCooler Collections.
There are thousands of Oktoberfest events all over the world celebrating alongside Germany, but here are a few of the notable ones:

Oktoberfest - Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

10/10 – 10/18
2nd largest Oktoberfest Celebration in the World!

Oktoberfest - Blumenau, Brazil

10/8 – 10/26
Blumenau, Brazil’s “little Germany”, was founded by German settlers and has hosted a beer festival every October since 1984. Each year more than half a million visitors make the journey south to celebrate.

Oktoberfest - Brisbane, Australia

10/9 – 10/11 & 10/16 – 10/18
To celebrate Oktoberfest down under, head to Brisbane, which hosts over 30,000 patrons making it Australia’s largest Oktoberfest.

5. Zombie Crawls

You didn’t think that we were going to finish off the list without zombies did you? Zombie Walks and Pub Crawls are a feature in October's Bar program, and with great reason. If you haven’t experienced a Zombie walk, what are you waiting for? Our FD Classics and Beach Coolers would go well with some chilling stares.

EyeHeartBrains - http://eyeheartbrains.com/

Denver, CO 10/17
Leading off the list is the current Guinness Book of World Records holder for the largest zombie crawl. With an Organ Trail, Costume and make-up help, and after parties; What more could you ask for?

NYC Zombie Crawl – http://nyczombiecrawl.com/news/

New York, NY 10/18
Walk like a zombie on the streets of the Big Apple!

San Diego Zombie Crawl - http://sandiegozombiecrawl.com/

San Diego, CA 10/31
This zombie crawl offers over 25 parties and events to choose from with ticket purchases. It also comes with over 13 Welcome shots. Sounds legit.

That should be enough to keep you Faded through October. We will be back next month with more ideas for November. Feel free to add any suggestions. Cheers and Stay Faded!
